Discovery Bay now has its own company of Guides - 24 girls aged 11-15 and 6 leaders met for the first time on Sat 14th September. It was a great first meeting where they played some fun ice breaking games as well as making inroads into learning the 'horseshoe' formation (a tradition that stretches back over 100 years to the start of Guiding) and made lanyards for their uniform whistles. Next week, they are joining a global creative action event on the beach!
